Building a Responsive Mailing List
How To Build A Responsive Mailing List In Your NicheAuthor: Igor Kheifets
List Building is one of the most important internet marketing principles implemented amongst all the online gurus. Building a list of subscribers is as vital for internet marketing success as having a connection at your workplace.
However, anyone can build a mailing list, but can you build a responsive list? Getting a person to subscribe to your newsletter is one thing, but getting him to open your emails is something completely different.
There are plenty of people who subscribe just to get the free report or an ebook, however, if you eliminate those who do it just for the freebies what you are left with is an audience.
The issue here (no matter how big your list is), is how do you get them to open all of your emails or at least most of them? If you look at the response rates of 95% of all internet marketers with a list they have manually built, the response rates never go further than 5-12%.
How so? Why do people discard your emails into the trash folder without even opening them? It happens because people are just tired of getting pitched to. People hate receiving spam, "great offers", "once in a lifetime deals" and so on...
Admit it, even you hate it, everyone does. If I had a nickel every time I have deleted an email without even opening it up, I would be 224.5 million dollars richer...
What you need to do is to think of a way to make the person WANT to open your emails. You need to figure out how to make people sit there, refreshing their inbox page, eagerly awaiting your messages.
There are two key principles you need to follow in order to build a responsive internet marketing list. What you need to do is this: provide value and be consistent.
First one is obvious. You need to be providing value to your subscribers. Why in the hell they would want to open your emails if there wasn't anything they can benefit from? Would you open a useless email? I thought so, and so would I.
Second, what you need to do is to be consistent. It means, if you are sending an email once a week, keep it that way. If you are sending 3 messages a week, stick to it. If you are bombing their inbox with 3 messages a day keep doing it! Be consistent!
Of course I went over the line there a bit. If you are going to spam someone's inbox with 3 emails a day, they are going to unsubscribe faster than you can say "SPAM", even if you dump the whole "How I Went from $0.67 a month to a 7 figure income in just 14 days!" course on them for FREE...About the Author:
