The Various Looks of Varicose Veins Stockton CA

People love fashion, mostly because of the way it can transform a body, and because of all the different options available. Indeed, life is full of options, but sometimes these options are anatomically unsolicited, such as abnormalities in a person's appearance. When it comes to women, one of these abnormalities surfaces in the form of varicose veins.

The Various Looks of Varicose Veins

People love fashion, mostly because of the way it can transform a body, and because of all the different options available. Indeed, life is full of options, but sometimes these options are anatomically unsolicited, such as abnormalities in a person's appearance.

When it comes to women, one of these abnormalities surfaces in the form of varicose veins. These veins can appear late in life, or after a woman's pregnancy. Varicose veins are caused by blood being trapped in a vein because of circulatory issues. The vein, rather than rupturing under the strain, attempts to swell to accommodate the blood, and varicose veins are born.

Varicose veins, though undeniably puffy, take on various lengths. Sometimes the obstruction might only be in one part of the vein, in which case only that part of the vein will be visible on the leg – which would be about a half inch. Other times, the entire vein will be affected, and the result will be a visible vein around six inches long.

Another interesting, yet also grotesque, thing about these kinds of veins is that they appear in different colors, depending on the vein in question. Sometimes, newer veins will appear a dark blue, almost as if someone took a blue pen and colored in the vein. Other times, the veins will appear greenish red. Lastly, and perhaps most commonly, the veins will appear purple. Thus, depending on the severity of the vein, medicinal injections or laser treatments will be used to improve appearance and functionality.
