Toshiba's Digital Products Division, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, launched the TLP-XE30U, a 3,000-ANSI-lumen projector that comes with a three-year standard limited warranty and offers 3LCD technology with features such as blackboard wall color adjustment and quick-power shutdown.

“Toshiba has added the TLP-XE30U to its lineup of projectors to make presentation solutions more affordable for business professionals, educators, and home digital entertainment enthusiasts,” said Jane Poon, product marketing manager, Digital Products Division, in a statement.

The blackboard function allows presentations to be made on non-screen surfaces, such as a painted wall or a blackboard. Users select a wall color-green, black, brown, blue, or beige-and the projector automatically corrects the color for a clearer display. Quick-power shutdown allows users to power off the projector without cool-down time once its disconnected from the outlet.

Other features included with the TLP-XE30U are automatic keystone correction, one-touch auto setup, and digital zoom. The projector has an aspect ratio of 4:3, a native resolution of XGA 1024x768, and a contrast ratio of 600:1. It is currently available with an MSRP of $1,119.
