STORAGE SERVERGlobalstor Data Corp.'s ExtremeStor-DI Tower workstation is a compact version of its ExtremeStor-DI server line. Designed for uncompressed HD/2K capture and playback, the dual Quad Core tower is equipped with a 10 Fault-tolerant hot swappable SATA drives that can support a wide range of RAID levels. Its capacities range from 2.5TB to 10TB, and it delivers up to 600 Mb per second of sustained data throughput in RAID 5, according to the company. The tower is compatible with Windows XP or Windows 2003 open platform operating systems on a RAID-protected boot disk drive.

Planar Systems' expands its PT line of touch-screen displays with six smart models, including three surface acoustic wave (SAW) touch screens with the 15-inch PT1505MU, the 17-inch PT1705MU, and the 19-inch PT1915MU. The SAW touch screens are constructed with pure glass and can be activated with a finger, glove, or stylus. The 19-inch PT1910MX (shown) is a resistive touch screen suited for the health care, retail, POS, and hospitality markets. It includes features such as five-wire resistive technology and high-contrast ratio (800:1) for increased image quality and response time, the company says. The PT1550MX and PT1555MU are specifically designed for POS applications.
